How Much Does Attending a Chiropractor School Cost?

The chiropractor is a person who treats the muscles and skeletal problems, especially those that affect the back and neck.

Also, chiropractic doctors adjust the spines of their patients to relieve pain and other diseases.

Chiropractors must pursue a Doctor Chiropractic Degree.

The program lasts four years and requires at least 4,200 classrooms, laboratory, and clinical experience.

The DC program is a 10-trimester program with 248 total credits.

Living on the campus cost on average $6,800, off-campus living is $7,800, and living at home with parents/relatives is $3,800 per trimester.

Loan fees are $200 and the one-time charge for Diagnostic Kit (first trimester only) is $1,150.

The program is 13 terms long.

Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina applies $8,825 per quarter.

The total annual tuition is $35,300.

At the University of Bridgeport, full-time (14 credits) tuition per semester is $15,075.

The program has 8 semesters and Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) Degree program last 4 years.

Part-time tuition (per credit hour) is $1,000.

Licensure

Licensure of chiropractic medicine has different rules and procedures in each state, country, or international region.

It cost between $100 and $500.

According to the Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine, licensing fee for Chiropractic Physician is $405.

  • Initial Application: $300,
  • Biennial Renewal Fee for Chiropractor: $360.

  • Liability insurance (one-time charge as the student enters clinical coursework) $245.

Most states require a chiropractor to renew the license.

Therefore, some universities offer weekend seminars or additional training lessons that need to be paid for.

Some colleges and organizations offer a chiropractic scholarship to help students that meet a set of criteria.
